1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Tru-Impress, LLC ("Tru-Impress AI," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply to the Tru-Impress AI website, public pages, tutorial library, learning resources, customized learning-path planner, member area, AI Course Assistant, AI Report Reviewer, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or purchasing a membership, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Public-preview status: during the current free soft launch, no paid membership is offered, no public member account is created, and no membership payment is collected. Provisions concerning accounts, paid membership, billing, and live AI tools apply only when those functions are enabled and used.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, the age of legal majority where you live, or use the Services with the permission and supervision of a parent, guardian, instructor, or authorized institution. The Services are not directed to children under 13.
You must provide accurate account information, keep it current, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You may not share an individual account, impersonate another person, create accounts through automated means, or use another person's credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by law.
3. Educational purpose
The Services provide educational guidance for learning data mining, machine learning, model interpretation, software workflows, and report writing. They do not provide professional statistical consulting, academic advising, legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, employment advice, or institution-specific approval.
You are responsible for selecting an appropriate method; checking data quality, assumptions, software settings, and outputs; following academic-integrity and institutional rules; independently verifying AI-generated material; and deciding what to submit, publish, or use. Predictive results do not by themselves establish causation.
4. AI Course Assistant and AI Report Reviewer
The AI tools may produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable content. Outputs can vary between requests and must be treated as suggestions, not verified conclusions. We do not guarantee that an answer, review, score, suggested paragraph, citation, or recommended model is correct or acceptable for your course, employer, publication, regulator, or institution.
You must review the original software output and underlying evidence before relying on an AI response. Do not use the AI tools to make or support decisions concerning a person's eligibility, employment, education admission, credit, housing, insurance, health care, legal rights, or another high-impact matter.
Usage limits, supported formats, model availability, and access controls may vary by plan and may be adjusted to protect reliability, security, and fair access. A limited guest demonstration mode, when available, may use local educational rules instead of a live AI model.
5. Your submissions
You retain any rights you hold in text and files you submit. You grant Tru-Impress AI and its service providers a limited, nonexclusive right to host, transmit, reproduce, process, and display a submission only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the requested Service and comply with law.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit the content and permit this processing. You must remove confidential, personal, regulated, or proprietary information and must not submit credentials, complete payment details, student education records, protected health information, sensitive personal identifiers, private datasets, or unpublished material you are not authorized to disclose.
The Report Reviewer accepts only supported text-based formats and is not a secure repository or records-management system. Do not rely on the Services as the only copy of any work.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to:
- violate law, another person's rights, academic-integrity rules, or an applicable institutional policy;
- submit content you do not have the right to use or content containing malware, harmful code, or hidden instructions intended to manipulate the Services;
- harass, threaten, defraud, deceive, discriminate against, or harm another person;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account, system, API, key, model, or restricted content;
- bypass membership controls, quotas, file restrictions, security measures, or rate limits;
- scrape, crawl, copy, download in bulk, frame, mirror, resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Services or learning content without written permission;
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, prompts, models, datasets, or nonpublic system instructions, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use automated means that place an unreasonable load on the Services or interfere with another user's access; or
- represent AI-generated feedback as independently verified professional advice or as work authored by a person when that representation would be false.
7. Memberships, billing, and cancellation
Membership features, term, price, included usage, and billing frequency are the details shown when you enroll or check out. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize the disclosed charges, applicable taxes, and any recurring billing clearly presented before purchase. A payment provider may process the transaction under its own terms.
If a plan renews automatically, it continues for successive billing periods until canceled. You may cancel through available account or billing controls or by contacting us before the next renewal. Unless the checkout terms state otherwise, cancellation stops later renewal charges and access continues through the paid period. It does not retroactively reverse a completed billing period.
Fees are nonrefundable except as expressly stated at checkout, in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, or as required by law. Failed or reversed payments may result in suspension of paid access. You remain responsible for charges incurred before cancellation.
8. Ownership and limited license
The Services, including their design, software, text, tutorials, workflows, recreated illustrations, graphics, branding, selection and arrangement, and other materials supplied by Tru-Impress AI, are owned by or licensed to Tru-Impress, LLC and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, software interfaces, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access the Services and use the learning materials for your own education, internal analysis, and authorized class or professional work. This license does not transfer ownership and does not permit resale, public distribution, creation of a competing library, or removal of notices.
Any feedback you voluntarily provide may be used without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
9. Third-party services and links
The Services may depend on or link to third-party services, including hosting, WordPress components, membership and payment services, IBM software documentation, and OpenAI. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, or separate terms. Your use of them may be governed by additional agreements.
10. Service changes, availability, and termination
We may maintain, update, secure, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Services when reasonably necessary, including to address technical issues, legal requirements, misuse, or provider changes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay required fees, or misuse the Services. When reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account closure through the Contact page. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms—remain in effect.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Tru-Impress AI disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Services or any AI output will be accurate, complete, secure, uninterrupted, compatible with your software version, or suitable for a particular assignment, decision, publication, or outcome.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tru-Impress AI and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, grades, publication, or business; or decisions made in reliance on the Services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Tru-Impress AI for all claims arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Tru-Impress AI for the Services during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tru-Impress AI and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your submissions, your violation of another person's rights, or your material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Tru-Impress AI's own unlawful conduct.
14. Disputes and applicable law
Before filing a formal claim, you and Tru-Impress AI agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute by sending a written description through the Contact page and allowing 30 days for a response. This informal process does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or filing a claim before a limitations period expires.
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without applying a rule that would require the law of another jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence continues to apply. A dispute that is not resolved informally may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, providers, security needs, or law. Revised Terms will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change materially reduces an existing user's rights, we will provide any additional notice or consent required by law. Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
16. General terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, and purchase terms shown at enrollment form the agreement governing the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the Services. Headings are for convenience only.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms, the public preview, future membership, or legal notices may be submitted through the Tru-Impress AI Contact page. Select the topic that best matches your request and do not include passwords, full payment-card details, or confidential datasets.
